Product Description
Butane is a hydrocarbon that is obtained from natural gas or by refining petroleum. It can exist as a gas and as a clear liquid, and strangely it can be both at the same time. It was discovered in 1849 by an English chemist named Edward Frankland. Butane is an organic compound that occurs in natural gas, petroleum and refinery gas. It is in gas form at room temperature with normal atmospheric pressure and has a slight odor of natural gas. Although it is easily liquified as a gas, it quickly evaporates at room temperature. Butane is highly flammable.
